Have you ever imagined soaring from the top of a mountain with an eagle’s eye view? Or envisioned a new way of exploring mountain terrain without leaving a race of your journey behind? If so, let your imagination become reality and come experience the thrill an beauty of BC Flightlines, Boulder City’s newest eco-adventure, located at the base of Red Mountain.

If you don’t know what Flightlines is, think zip-lines for simplicity’s sake, a term most people are more familiar with and you might get the basic picture. However, there is nothing simple about BC Flightlines. Suspended firm cables and comfortably sitting in a para-gliding harness, you travel from point to point by flying over the desert ecosystem from the top of Red Mountain. Instead of hiking or cycling down the trails, you are exploring the mountain from an aerial trail. Add to that some of the safest new patented technology, impressive distance, spectacular views, and highly qualified guides, and you have BC Flightlines, the only aerial system in Nevada.

BC Flightlines consists of a multi-run and multi-line series of zip lines that range in length from 1,150 to 2,550 feet. After guests assemble at the base for orientation and training, groups of approximately 12 guests are shuttled up to the top of Red Mountain where they will begin their decent on a series of 4 lines flying across canyons at speeds up to 50 mph.

The entire package will last approximately 2.5 hours and covers a total of 1.56 miles.

Flightlinez and Fremont Street Experience to hold fundraiser creating Alyssa Otremba scholarship at Arbor View High School and benefiting The Rape Crisis Center

Alyssa Scholarship Fund WHO: Flightlinez zipline attraction, Fremont Street Experience and The Rape Crisis Center. Representatives of The Rape Crisis Center as well as Flightlinez will be available for interviews. All Arbor View High School students will ride free that day to celebrate Alyssa’s memory. WHAT: Flightlinez and the Fremont Street Experience will donate all their revenues from zipline rides on Wednesday, Sept. 28 to create a minimum $5,000 scholarship at Arbor View High School in Alyssa Otremba’s name to keep her memory alive and will donate the remainder of the day’s proceeds to The Rape Crisis Center. “We had already been working with The Rape Crisis Center to have our September funds benefit their worthwhile efforts and when we heard about Alyssa’s untimely passing we were also very committed to keeping her memory alive. All involved were happy to work together to make the fundraising efforts on this day benefit both causes and create an awareness of the needs in our Las Vegas community, said Joey Vanas of Flightlinez. Flightlinez is committed to serving the Las Vegas community by hosting charitable fundraisers throughout the year. In June, Flightlinez and Fremont Street Experience donated nearly $18,000 to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Las Vegas and have donated more than $100,000 to local charities and community groups since launching the new charitable initiative in February. "Flightlines" Las Vegas Teams Up with Jersey Boys to Raise Money for NF!!!

Stars from Jersey Boys, Phantom—The Las Vegas Spectacular and THE LION KING will also appear at the fundraiser on November 17th LAS VEGAS-- JERSEY BOYS star Jeff Leibow will host a fundraiser at “Flightlines” Las Vegas at the Fremont Street Experience from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m on Wednesday, November 17th. The fundraiser will benefit NF, Inc., an organization that serves families and individuals with neurofibromatosis, which is more commonly known as NF. Leibow’s daughter was recently diagnosed with NF, which is a genetic disorder of the nervous system that causes benign tumors to grow on any nerve in the body at any time. NF is one of the most common genetic disorders and affects more than 100,000 Americans, making it more common that cystic fibrosis, hereditary Muscular Dystrophy, Huntington’s Disease and Tay Sachs combined. In addition to Leibow, other JERSEY BOYS cast members, including Travis Cloer, Rick Faugno, Peter Saide and Deven May, will also be on-site to support the cause. Stars from Phantom—The Las Vegas Spectacular and THE LION KING will also make appearances throughout the evening. Flightlines is nearly 70 feet tall and spans 800 feet of Fremont Street. Children of St. Jude's Ranch Will Soar Like a Bird and Leave Their Troubles Behind.

At the Bootleg Canyon Flightlines, the children and their parents will descend from the top of Red Mountain on a series of four lines at speeds of up to 60 mph for a spectacular view of the valley.
