Meeting Professionals and Nonprofits Unite for Meetings & Events Las Vegas Spring Event
For Immediate Release:
Meetings & Events Las Vegas held their Spring Event, a mixer for event planners, hospitality vendors, and industry professionals, last Thursday. More than 200 meeting professionals registered for the event, which was held at Crossroads of House of Blues® inside Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino.

Meeting planners and convention PENDO partners came in locally and from nearby states like California and Arizona while others traveled further from New York, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Arkansas, and Illinois in order to attend the event and meet the hospitality partners for their upcoming events in the Las Vegas Valley. The evening also proved to be beneficial for developing newfound business relationships. The House of Blues received 12 site visits from potential clients, and vendors were able to successfully meet with event planners and discuss future partnerships. “The food was excellent and the overall event was a good networking opportunity,” said IAAP - Chapter President Juanita Bryant. “It was nice to get a tour of the Foundation Room for future events.”

The Spring Event was generously supported by a multitude of sponsors who donated raffle prizes with 100% of the proceeds going to the Meeting and Events Las Vegas charity of choice: Three Square. More than $8,000 worth of generous donations were received from the following organizations: Dollar Rent A Car; Cheeseburger Las Vegas; Ben & Jerry’s; Jason’s Deli; Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort; Hyatt Place Las Vegas; Sienna & Arroyo Golf Club; Silverstone Golf Club; Vegas Weddings; Emerald Suites; House of Blues; Blue Man Group; Gambler’s General Store; Pete’s Piano Bar; and Cirque du Soleil.

“It was a terrific event, complete with good conversation, phenomenal networking opportunities and a raffle supporting our organization,” said Three Square Food Bank Onsite Event Manager Pietra Sardelli. “With the money donated from Meetings & Events Las Vegas, Three Square will be able to provide more than 1,650 meals to hungry people in Southern Nevada. Fighting hunger is a collaborative effort and we are truly grateful to have generous partners like Meetings & Events.”

The quarterly event was orchestrated by Associate Publisher Jennifer Mahar Mulder. “It was amazing to see the energy in the room,” said Dr. Lisa Edler, community partnership coordinator of East Career and Technical Academy. “I was impressed by how much Jennifer did for her guests, including the giveaways and bags she put together.”

“It’s always a blast to meet with fellow event and meeting planners,” stated Carly Rosich, Brand Marketing Manager of House of Blues Las Vegas. “House of Blues Las Vegas is a dynamic venue with so much to offer. We would like to thank everyone that was in attendance for this event."

The mixer also marked the release of the latest issue of Meetings & Events Las Vegas, the city’s premier resource guide for corporate event planners and out-of-town meeting and convention attendees. The publication is also circulated to exhibitors in the trade show and convention industry.
