These restaurants, and many more just like them, give planners a broader selection of potential venues to choose from for future events. And for restaurant lovers who just want a relaxing evening with friends, colleagues and great food, off-strip dining facilities offer a world of delicious wonders.

Booking restaurants for corporate meetings and events
We can’t ignore the growing trend of  booking intimate restaurants for boardroom meetings and corporate events. Planners who are unsure if their meeting itinerary matches the setting of a dining facility should look at the positives. For one, the cost to book a private dining area is a fraction of the cost that planners would usually pay at a major convention facility.

Between the hours of lunch and dinner (2 p.m. to 5 p.m.), most restaurants experience a lull in business. The majority of private dining rooms are empty at this time, which means managers are more than happy to accommodate the needs of interested planners. Even if the meeting doesn’t involve food, the exposure to high-profile attendees is always good for business.

Restaurants have sensed the void for intimate meeting spaces that also offer a bit of character and charm, not to mention great food. The result is that most new dining concepts in Las Vegas are sure to include at least one private dining area. These warm and inviting spaces are excellent for smaller gatherings, including boardroom meetings, mixers and corporate dinners. And having these functions at a restaurant eliminates the need for employing an outside catering company.

Before booking a private room at a restaurant, planners should ask what amenities and audiovisual capabilities are available, which are free of charge and which incur an additional fee. If a restaurant doesn’t have what you need, ask to see their preferred vendor list. Most general managers will partner with audiovisual companies that can supply the necessary amenities for technology-based meetings.

Planners will also find that attendee turnout tends to be greater when their meeting is at a restaurant. The prospect of being in a comfortable environment and enjoying good food always draws a good crowd. Once the meeting is over, arrange for a corporate dinner or cocktail reception to follow immediately afterwards. By then, it should be close to the dinner hour, which is usually accompanied by an expanded menu. It’s a great way for planners to transition from business to enjoyment with grace and fluidity.
