2010 International Bowl Expo Incorporates the Glitz and Glamour of Las Vegas
The Bowling Proprietors Association of America (BPAA), the bowling industries premier trade organization, rotates the location of its annual show and was back in Las Vegas for its 2010 International Bowl Expo. The event was held at the Las Vegas Hilton and Las Vegas Convention Center with more than 7,000 attendees from all over the world.
International Bowl Expo worked with its official services contractor, Global Experience Specialists (GES) to incorporate the glitz and glamour of Las Vegas into all areas of its show. From the show’s official artwork which played off of the iconic “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada” sign - welcoming exhibitors and attendees to “Fabulous 2010 Bowl Expo Las Vegas, Nevada” to the show’s entrance units and schedule board, GES helped BPAA extend the excitement of this world-class destination throughout the show.
“Holding 2010 Bowl Expo in Las Vegas provided the perfect opportunity to add some extra pizzazz to our show,” said BPAA Director of Meetings and Events Lee Ann Norton. “GES really listened to our ideas and came up with an exciting design that our members are still raving about.”
Bowl Expo was also a perfect opportunity for BPAA to celebrate and showcase the 2010 grand opening of its state-of-the-art International Bowling Campus in Arlington, Texas. Since many exhibitors and attendees haven’t had the opportunity to visit the International Bowling Campus in person, GES worked closely with BPAA to bring the patriotic spirit and look of the campus to the show. GES created reproductions of the campus’ landmark structures for the show’s International Bowling Campus pavilion located at the entrance of the show floor. A 9-foot replica of the campus’ bowling pin as well as a bowling ball and pins surrounded by a patriotic flag provided eye-catching displays to encourage exhibitors and attendees to learn more about BPAA and the International Bowling Campus.
Another attraction at the show was the regulation size bowling lane which provided a gathering place for demonstrations and even book signings by keynote speaker former Governor and Republican Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin.
“2010 Bowl Expo was extraordinary,” said Norton. “Our talented GES team brought our ideas to life. It’s been an absolute pleasure to work with GES since 2005 and they continue to exceed our expectations both in creative ideas and in producing a phenomenal show. They continue to WOW me with each and every show!“
