Transformed dramatically from its former identity as Fitzgeralds Casino & Hotel, the reinvigorated property is now known as the D Las Vegas.
Standing 34 stories high, the D Las Vegas offers 638 newly renovated deluxe rooms and suites while delivering the fresh, energetic attitude and fun atmosphere that has become synonymous with the revamped Downtown Las Vegas.
The D features daily live entertainment in the D Showroom, one of Vegas’ only two-level casinos with its modern and vintage floors, high-end dining at a new steak house opening in 2013 and two high-energy bars—the LONGBAR and the D Bar. At LONGBAR, guests can enjoy drinks inside the casino while those traveling the Fremont Street Experience can experience the D Bar where trickster bartenders send bottles and glasses flying through the air.
Furthermore, the D Las Vegas is equipped with 8,000 square feet of meeting space, such as the Detroit Ballroom and four breakout rooms: Birmingham, Grand Rapids, Ann Arbor and Lansing, privately located on the 12th floor. The space can accommodate groups of up to 300 people for meetings, weddings or special events and has audiovisual equipment and Hotspot Wireless access at broadband speeds available to keep the events running smoothly.
In addition, alternate meeting space is available in the D Showroom, restaurants and bars. The main stage next door on the Fremont Street Experience also can be rented for entertainment purposes. The D Las Vegas offers extensive menu options for breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as bakery items, hors d’oeuvres, banquet bars and a wine list.
