With the glittering lights of its nightly Viva Vision light show, the Fremont Street Experience is a dynamic, dazzling display truly worthy of Las Vegas. But it just lit up even more with a different kind of excitement.

Now, you can either walk the traditional walk, or let the Fremont Street Flightlinez rides offer a whole new kind of experience. With rides running from early afternoon to late at night, Flightlinez lets people soar 800 feet from 60 feet up at 30 miles per hour on one of four zip lines underneath the $70 million video-screen canopy as the crowds cheer from the street below. Zip line passengers sit in a climbing harness suspended from cable wires, and enjoy the rush of neon flight.

One month after Mayor Goodman and Councilmember’s Proclaimed June 20th Flightlinez Day in Las Vegas for donations made to local charities amounting to more than $200,000, Flightlinez unveils their proven geodesic tower design with a Las Vegas style flair to act as a beacon for the ongoing re-vitalization of Downtown Las Vegas. The American Heart Association and Go Red for Women invite supporters to fly down the Fremont Street Experience and help raise funds in the fight against heart disease among women Celebrity spokesperson Frankie Moreno invites the city to join the fight WHO: Flightlinez zipline attraction, Fremont Street Experience, The American Heart Association and Go Red for Women. Representatives of Flightlinez, The American Heart Association and Go Red for Women are available for pre-event interviews and will be on hand for interviews and photo opportunities that day. WHAT: Flightlinez and the Fremont Street Experience will donate all net revenue from zipline rides on Monday, April 30 from noon to midnight to The American Heart Foundation and Go Red for Women. Las Vegas headliner Frankie Moreno, who is the local celebrity spokesperson for Go Red for Women’s movement, will be in attendance and available for interviews and photo opportunities. Also in attendance will be former First Ladies Dawn Gibbons and Sandy Miller as well as IGT CEO and Go Red for Women Chairwoman for the year Patti Hart. The American Heart Association established Go Red for Women in 2004 as a support initiative and stable environment to accurately teach women about the greatest battle they are at risk of facing, heart disease. With the misconception that heart disease is something only older men face, the surprising reality is that more women die of heart disease than all forms of cancer combined. This “silent killer” can be prevented, but the truth about this disease needs to be shared in order for women to know they are at risk and what they need to do for prevention. Guests are asked to wear red during their flight down the zipline the day of the event to show their support in the fight against heart disease. Go Red for Women helps women make healthier choices in their daily lives so that they never have to face the deadly disease first-hand. Flightlinez is committed to serving the Las Vegas community by hosting charitable fundraisers throughout the year. The monthly events have been a great way to put the “fun” back in fundraising for so many charities during tough economic years. Flightlinez and Fremont Street Experience to hold fundraiser for 98.5 KLUC's Chet Buchanan & the Morning Zoo Toy Drive benefitting Help of Southern Nevada

Representatives of Flightlinez, Help of Southern Nevada and Chet Buchanan and on air personalities from 98.5 KLUC will be on hand to answer questions and get the fun started with the first ever pre-toy drive fundraiser in the 13-year history of the state’s largest toy drive taking place Dec. 1 – 12, 2011.
