Our Spring Conference May 6 & 7, 2011 at the Tuscany Suites and Casino is our District 33 Conference. Within our district are 3 divisions in Las Vegas and 5 divisions from California. In the morning we will have our keynote speaker Jamie Naughton from Zappos.com speaking about the Zappos culture and being one of Fortune 500’s 100 best companies to work for. Then we will have four educational breakout sessions and our luncheon will have a presentation of the Toastmasters “Communication & Leadership” award to a local “well known” recipient, followed by our Tall Tales Speech Contest.

Saturday night is our Formal / Semi-formal dinner with our International Speech Contest. The winner will go on to the International Toastmasters Conference here in August to compete for the 2011 World Champion of Public Speaking.

Toastmasters meetings provide a supportive and positive learning environment to develop oral communication and leadership skills.

Our District 33 Sprint Conference will have 200 to 225 attendees. More than half will be from California and the balance from here in Las Vegas. As well as members we will have our District Officers in attendance, a past International Director and hopefully one of our present international Directors.

Exhibitors will be able to have samples, products and coupons stuffed into the registration bags. We will also have a table to display local things to do, where to eat and other attractions at the registration table. Please have your material to Toastmasters on or before April 29th.
