Meetings & Events Las Vegas Hosts Fall 2010 Event at Rouge For the Meeting Planning Industry

Proceeds Raised Benefit Three Square
Las Vegas (November 16, 2010) — For the fourth time this year, Meetings & Events Las Vegas (MELV) held their quarterly event, a mixer soiree which brings event planners, hospitality vendors, and industry professionals together. More than 100 meeting professionals attended the Fall Event held at the stylish Rouge at the MGM Grand.
Each quarterly event has a different theme but the same goal: connect meeting planner clients with hospitality suppliers and industry professionals. This seasons MELV theme was to create an intimate and personal atmosphere to allow for a more direct and one-on-one business approach. The Rouge provided a warm backdrop for both locals and attendees who traveled near and far to proactively cement current and forthcoming partnerships.
Managing Partner of Corporate Events Las Vegas, Toni Reiser said, “It was a huge success for my business. Those in attendance were there to conduct business while socializing at an exciting venue at the MGM.”
Robin Jay, President of the Las Vegas Convention Speakers Bureau echoed the sentiment shared by other attendees saying, “MELV’s networking events are not-to-be-missed by anyone in the industry. I always come away from these events delighted, knowing I invested my time wisely. I not only get to visit with MELV’s “A-List” of advertisers and industry experts, but I also get to make important, new connections.”
The Fall Event was supported by many generous sponsors who donated raffle prizes with 100% of the proceeds again going to the Meeting and Events Las Vegas charity of choice, Three Square. Melia Smith, External Events Coordinator with Three Square remarked on the cumulative accomplishment this years’ events have garnered. “We are grateful for the continual support of Meetings and Events Las Vegas and are happy to announce that $1,345 has been raised in 2010. This has provided over 4,000 meals for people who struggle with hunger this year. Meetings and Events Las Vegas is a wonderful example of the community collaboration Three Square values in the fight to end hunger in our community.”
To continue the success acquired this season, Meetings & Events Las Vegas already has two more events planned which will continue the goal of connecting meeting planners with significant vendors and professionals. The next mixer scheduled for February 3rd, 2011, at PBR will host a larger event with a more casual scene for first-time introductions and business prospecting. Following the February Event is the Spring Event on May 5th, 2011.
