Meetings & Events Las Vegas Hosts Winter Event at PBR Rock Bar for the Meeting Planning Industry

PROCEEDS RAISED BENEFIT THREE SQUARE
Las Vegas (February 9, 2010) — For the first time this year, Meetings & Events Las Vegas (MELV) held their quarterly event, a mixer soiree which brings event planners, hospitality vendors, and industry professionals together. Nearly 200 meeting professionals attended the Winter Event held at PBR Rock Bar at Planet Hollywood Hotel and Casino.
Each quarterly event has a different theme but the same goal: connect meeting planner clients with hospitality suppliers and industry professionals. This seasons’ event at PBR Rock Bar allowed for attendees to mingle at their leisure in a casual and fun atmosphere.
Tracy Dean, Director of Special Events at PBR Rock Bar happily hosted guests who had the opportunity to experience the venue for the first time. Dean said, “I was impressed by the amount of attendees and was thrilled with the over all compliments we were showered with on our stellar staff and delicious food!” Dean went on to say, "The MELV event gave me the opportunity and exposure to set up future site visits and have already received numerous inquiries for future corporate events since the event last week."
The Winter Event was supported by many generous sponsors who donated raffle prizes with 100% of the proceeds again going to the Meeting & Events Las Vegas charity of choice, Three Square. Meetings & Events Las Vegas has selected Three Square as the donation recipient for several seasons, making 2011 another year of continued support to the Southern Nevada food bank.
Melia Smith, External Events Coordinator with Three Square remarked on the milestone accomplishment this years’ event has reached, “It raised $675 which is the most ever raised through this event! We truly appreciate your support and are grateful to have the opportunity to be a continual recipient of the MELV mixers.” The money raised translates into 2,025 meals provided to people who struggle with hunger.
