Located on the summit floor of THEhotel at Mandalay Bay, the modish and astral-flavored lounge presents stellar cocktail concoctions and an innovative bar menu framed by breathtaking views of the Las Vegas Strip.
miX Lounge adjoins miX Restaurant, the first venture into Las Vegas by internationally acclaimed Chef Alain Ducasse and a Michelin one-star restaurant. This impressive creation pairs the powerhouse combination of Groupe Alain Ducasse and China Grill-Las Vegas (rumjungle, Red Square & China Grill).
Designer Patrick Jouin spared no detail in conceptualizing this space and cleverly divided the adjacent main dining area and the lounge at miX into two distinct but related sections linked by a partially open kitchen.
Decked entirely in dark brown faux leather from floor to ceiling, miX Lounge offers custom-designed seats lining the main curved banquette. Accompanying spun aluminum tables exude a glowing orange light from beneath. The bar’s surface contains four-inch glass panels encasing tiny suspended air bubbles, which mirror the bubble chandelier in the adjoining restaurant. A two-story, coral-colored “moon rock” of perforated and backlit fiberglass serves as the backdrop for the central bar. Overhead, designer Jouin again makes magic with a pulsating fiber optic Milky Way which streams across the lounge “sky.”
While the transparent acrylic walls surrounding miX afford a stunning view of the lights of Las Vegas, to truly appreciate the view, guests may step out to an outdoor patio which runs almost the entire length of the miX Lounge. Large lounge beds with polished aluminum cocktail tables, topped by glowing glass candles, complete this one-of-a-kind, outdoor experience.
