Best New Venues in Town
MGM Resorts International, previously known as MGM Mirage, is the global hospitality company which is responsible for the creation of CityCenter and its two iconic hotels. Both Aria Resort and Casino and Vdara Hotel and Spa were ushered on to the Las Vegas Strip on December 1, 2009 by the second largest gaming company in the world. Deemed the next evolution of Las Vegas, Aria and Vdara are spectacular hotels which have raised the standard for elegant and stylish properties.

MGM Resorts is well versed in designing mega resorts which attract visitors from all over the world to book their stay for business or pleasure with them. Perhaps it is from this experience that MGM Resorts created Vdara and Aria with the idea of crafting distinctively sophisticated exteriors coupled with purposeful comforts and accommodations. As if the 2009 debut of CityCenter was not enough to give Las Vegas and subsequent visitors a taste of something new, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas opened a year later and has managed to offer a new take on venues, lodging, and gaming.

With the addition of these three properties, a new hotel is not likely to open on the Las Vegas Strip within the next decade. Thankfully, these amazing hotels have plenty of amenities, awe-inspiring architecture, shopping, and restaurants to keep visitors satisfied and discovering new features for years to come.

Aria Resort and Casino

The teams at New York’s RV Architecture, LLC, a critically acclaimed international practice led by Rafael Viñoly, designed Aria to be differentiated from the existing Las Vegas skyline while at the same time seamlessly adding to CityCenter’s whole. The consequent outcome is an overlapping crescent design that creates one of the most striking design statements in all of Las Vegas.

All of Aria’s 4,004 guestrooms offer expansive floor-to-ceiling windows, giving guest access to impressive city views. For the ultimate in luxury, various suites provide separate parlors and bedrooms or large parlors for entertaining, and separate conference rooms.

Aria’s Spa & Salon houses an 80,000-square foot space, the largest among the MGM Resorts International properties. A complete menu of skincare, massage and hydrotherapy treatments, and spa suites are designed to accommodate couples’ treatments, bachelorette parties or small group events. In addition, a full-service salon, barbershop, deluxe fitness room, and group exercise studio rounds out the hotel’s prep and pamper services.
